Singapore shares close 7 points higher

SHARES in the local bourse closed higher with the key Straits Times Index finishing 6.56 points up at 3,237.05 on Thursday.
Some 1.9 billion shares worth nearly S$900 million were traded with 204 counters up and 237 down.
