Singapore shares close 9 points lower

SINGAPORE shares closed lower on Friday with the key Straits Times Index ending 8.7 points or 0.3 per cent down at 2,793.15.
Some 1.4 billion shares worth S$888.8 million were done with gainers outpacing losers with 192 counters up and 188 counters down.
