Singapore shares close up by 0.17% on Monday
SINGAPORE shares saw an uneventful session on Monday, with the Straits Times Index edging up by 6.16 points, or 0.17 per cent, to 3,579.54.
Turnover on the bourse was 1.57 billion shares, worth S$1.14 billion in all, as losers beat gainers 215 to 156.
Keppel Corporation, which is in talks for projects in the Tortue gas field, added S$0.08, or 0.97 per cent, to S$8.29.
Venture Corporation closed up by S$0.28, or 1.11 per cent, at S$25.57, after dropping by more than 12 per cent at the previous close.
Off the index, Ezion Holdings topped the actives list on 65.95 million shares.
It ended down by 0.3 Singapore cent, or 1.73 per cent, to S$0.17.
