Singapore: Shares end sharply lower on Thursday

SINGAPORE share prices ended sharply lower on Thursday with the Straits Times Index down 35.38 points to 3,228.71.
Volume was 1.69 billion shares worth S$1 billion.
Losers outnumbered gainers 292 to 138.
