Singapore shares open 0.13% down on Thursday
SINGAPORE shares opened flat on Thursday, as Wall Street ended mixed overnight: Dow edged to a fresh record, while both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq finished lower.
The Straits Times Index opened 0.13 per cent or 4.09 points lower at 3,253.43 points. About 42.8 million shares worth S$58.1 million in total changed hands.
The most actively traded stock was World Class Global, which debuted trading on Catalist on Thursday at S$0.27. As at 9.03am, some 5.28 million shares had changed hands. Other actives included Blumont and ISDN. Losers outnumbered gainers 98 to 39.
