Singapore shares open 0.42% higher on Wednesday on Wall Street rally
ANOTHER set of record highs on Wall Street coupled with strong oil prices meant another positive day for Singapore stocks, which extended their gains from Tuesday to open higher on Wednesday.
As at 9.06am, the benchmark Straits Times Index was up 0.42 per cent or 11.92 points at 2,834.12.
Gainers outnumbered losers 85 to 47, with 132.7 million shares worth S$242.5 million changing hands.
Among the most active counters were those in the oil & gas and banking sectors.
