SINGAPORE share prices opened stronger on Thursday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) up 17.13 points or 0.6 per cent to 2,891.85 as at 9.01am, after the US Federal Reserve reiterated its gradual approach to raising interest rates.
Top gainers in early morning trade included Jardine Matheson Holdings, City Developments, UOB, and Singapore Airlines.
A total of 35.3 million shares worth S$40.1 million had changed hands as at 9.01am. Gainers outnumbered losers 106 to 33.
