Singapore shares open flat on Thursday

SINGAPORE shares opened flat on Thursday with the Straits Times Index (STI) losing just 0.13 points to 3,184.44 as at 9.01am. The US markets closed overnight with a mixed session.
Top movers in early morning trade included UOB, OCBC and Hongkong Land. Some 87.9 million shares worth S$100 million changed hands, with gainers outnumbering losers 72 to 52.
