Singapore shares open lower on Friday

SINGAPORE shares opened lower by 22.2 points or 0.75 per cent at 2,936.81 on Friday, on the back of a sharp decline on Wall Street and as commodity prices tumbled.
Some 70 million shares worth S$69.1 million were traded at 9.01am, with losers beating gainers 119 to 24.
The most active shares included Stratech Group, Noble Group and Spackman Group.
