Singapore shares open marginally higher on Monday

SINGAPORE shares opened marginally higher on Monday as investors await another bout of quarterly earnings release this week.
At 9.02am, the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) was up 8.22 points or 0.29 per cent at 2,839.28.
Some 76 million shares changed hands for S$55.3 million.
Gainers outpaced losers 91 to 32.
