Singapore shares open marginally higher on Thursday

BUOYED by overnight gains on Wall Street, Singapore shares opened marginally higher on Thursday.
At 9.01 am, the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) was up 9.43 points or 0.33 per cent at 2,837.01.
Some 58.3 million shares worth S$107.5 million were traded. Gainers outpaced losers 87 to 32.
