Singapore shares open up on Thursday
SINGAPORE stocks opened higher on Thursday, with the Straits Times Index moving up 8.15 points or 0.3 per cent to 3,244.3 as at 9.01am.
This comes as US stocks rose overnight, with financials and tech stocks leading the pack.
On the Singapore bourse, about 44.6 million shares worth S$102.2 million changed hands. Gainers outnumbered losers 78 to 30.
The most actively traded counter was Apac Realty, which was flat at S$0.70 with 5.4 million shares changing hands. Other actives included Singtel and Alliance Mineral Assets.
