Singapore shares rise in early morning trade on Wednesday

SHARE prices on the Singapore bourse rose early Wednesday, with the key Straits Times Index up 12.26 points at 2,892.91 at 9.14am.
Some 125 million shares worth S$131 million were done, with 102 counters up and 48 counters down.
