Singapore: STI down 0.56% at market's opening

SINGAPORE shares began a more subdued mid-week session as the Straits Times Index edged down on Wednesday morning by 19.36 points or 0.56 per cent lower at 3,451.83 as at 9.04am, following news on Wall Street that US trade deficit had widened in March.
Some of the most active stocks include Noble, Stratech and CapitaLand.
As at 9.03am, 67.9 million shares worth S$137.5 million changed hands, with losers outnumbering gainers 87 to 59.
