SGX market activities up in June
The Singapore Exchange (SGX) reported growth in securities, derivatives, and commodities activities in June.
For securities, traded value was S$25 billion - up 20 per cent year-on-year and up 8 per cent month-on-month. Daily average value was S$1.2 billion; 20 per cent more from a year earlier and 8 per cent higher than a month before.
As for derivatives, volume was 22 million contracts - up 152 per cent from a year ago, and 41 per cent higher month-on-month.
For the full year - from July 2014 to June 2015 - turnover declined 4 per cent to S$274 billion. Daily average value traded was 4 per cent lower at S$1.1 billion.
