STI down 6 points
SINGAPORE shares ended the day on a glum note even though the Dow futures, which the index tracks closely, was 20 points up just before 5 pm.
Dragged by the losses in shares of heavyweights Global Logistic Properties, ComfortDelGro and Genting Singapore, the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) wrapped up Friday's session 6.08 points or 0.19 per cent lower at 3,209.47.
Some 1.6 billion units worth S$1.1 billion changed hands, which comes up to an average unit price of about S$0.70.
Excluding warrants, losers beat gainers 219 to 166.
