Stocks to watch: SembMarine, Ezra, firms put on SGX watch-list
THE following listed companies made material announcements before the Singapore market opened on Thursday:
Sembcorp Marine: Fresh concerns have emerged over the deliverables of the firm's outstanding rig-building backlog after a Feb 28 yard incident caused damage to the Noble Lloyd Noble jack-up rig being built under a US$592 million contract New York-listed Noble Corporation signed with the yard group.
Ezra Holdings: The group's Lee family has put their waterway-fronting Sentosa Cove bungalow on the block, five months after they sold a Good Class Bungalow along Windsor Park Road last October for S$22 million. Shares of Ezra continued their price climb on Wednesday, once again finishing as the most active stock with 235.8 million shares changing hands.
Singapore Exchange (SGX) has placed 41 mainboard-listed companies on a watch-list for failing to meet the new minimum trading price and deferred the assessment of another 69 until September, the market regulator announced on Wednesday after the market closed.
