Taiwan: Shares end the day higher

    [TAIPEI] The Taiwan Stock Exchange Weighted Index rose 0.73 per cent, or 68.52 points to 9,462.22.

    Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co gained 3.86 per cent to Tw$148.0 while Hon Hai Precision Industry was 0.82 per cent lower at Tw$84.8.
