Taiwan: Stocks mixed; techs up, banks down
[TAIPEI] Taiwan stocks eased on Thursday as electronics exporters rose along with their peers in the region while banks traded lower.
About 15 minutes into trading, the main index was down 0.1 per cent at 8025.84 points, after ending up 0.2 per cent in the previous session.
The electronics subindex added 0.3 per cent while the financial subindex dipped 0.2 per cent.
Among the most actively traded issues, Hon Hai Precision, a major assembler of Apple Inc's iPhone 6, rose 1.3 per cent.
The Taiwan dollar rose 0.72 per cent to stand at T$32.526 against the US dollar.
