Tokyo: Shares down 2.6% in early trade

[TOKYO] Tokyo shares opened 2.61 per cent lower on Tuesday amid a global sell-off triggered by worries over the state of the Chinese economy.
The Nikkei-225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange fell 484.25 points to 18,056.43 in early trade, following a 4.61 per cent slump on Monday, when it saw its lowest finish in six months.
