Tokyo: Shares open 0.26% higher after Yellen speech

[TOKYO] Tokyo shares opened 0.26 per cent higher on Friday, recovering losses from a day earlier after US Federal Reserve chief Janet Yellen said she still expects to hike interest rates this year.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 46.47 points to 17,618.30 at the start.
