Tokyo: Shares open down 1.0%

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks fell 1.00 per cent on Friday in early trade following a broad sell-off on Wall Street that came after recent rallies.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 196.60 points to 19,501.17 in the first minutes of trading.
The broader Topix index of all first-section shares slipped 1.13 per cent, or 17.97 points, to 1,575.60.
