Tokyo: Shares open higher on sustained global rallies

[TOKYO] Tokyo shares opened higher on Wednesday, lifted by continued global rallies as robust US corporate earnings brightened sentiment and boosted Wall Street.
Tokyo's benchmark Nikkei 225 index opened up 0.55 per cent, or 105.59 points, at 19,184.92. The Topix index of all first-section issues added 0.61 per cent, or 9.20 points, to 1,528.41 in the first minutes of trading.
