Tokyo: Shares open up 1.28% after Wall Street rises

[TOKYO] Tokyo shares opened up 1.28 per cent on a weaker yen Tuesday, following a solid lead from Wall Street.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 247.98 points to 19,641.67, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares rose 1.23 percent, or 19.38 points, to 1,590.91.
