Tokyo: Shares open up following Wall Street rally

[TOKYO] Tokyo shares opened up Tuesday as sentiment brightened after Wall Street rallied on stronger oil prices.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 0.74 per cent, or 119.33 points, to 16,230.38 in opening deals, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares gained 0.69 per cent, or 9.01 points, to 1,309.01.
