[TOKYO] Tokyo shares rose Tuesday as a weaker yen boosted exporters including Toyota and Panasonic, while investors awaited a speech by Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen later in the day.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index tacked on 0.36 per cent, or 71.74 points, to end the day at 20,225.09, while the Topix index of all first-section issues gained 0.42 per cent, or 6.81 points, to close at 1,619.02 yen.
