Tokyo: Stocks close flat on profit-taking

[TOKYO] Tokyo's benchmark index closed flat on Thursday with its advance capped by profit taking after several days of gains that pushed shares to more than two-year highs.
The Nikkei 225 edged up 0.01 per cent, or 1.90 points, to finish 20,628.56, while the broader Topix index was down 0.12 per cent, or 2.07 points, at 1,682.49.
