[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks ended a seesaw session higher Friday with investors jittery over US politics, as Takata surged more than 20 per cent following a legal settlement linked to its deadly airbag scandal.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index edged up 0.19 per cent, or 36.90 points, to 19,590.76 while the Topix index of all first-section issues was up 0.30 per cent, or 4.72 points, at 1,559.73.
