[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks closed higher on Monday after rosy US jobs numbers provided relief to investors on the prospects for the world's biggest economy.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.52 per cent, or 103.56 points, to end the session at 20,055.89, while the Topix index of all first-section issues was up 0.48 per cent, or 7.82 points, at 1,639.27.
