Tokyo: Stocks edge up on weak yen

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks inched up on Wednesday as market sentiment revived moderately thanks to a weak yen against the dollar.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 0.21 per cent or 45.71 points to close at 21,970.81 but the broader Topix index lost 0.05 per cent or 0.84 points at 1,761.61.
