Tokyo: Stocks end at fresh two-decade high

[TOKYO] Tokyo's benchmark stock index hit another fresh 21-year high on Monday as market sentiment remained solid on upbeat Japanese corporate earnings.
The Nikkei 225 rose 0.47 per cent, or 100.38 points, to close at 21,255.56, the highest level since November 1996 and its 10th consecutive positive session, while the broader Topix index advanced 0.62 per cent, or 10.56 points, to 1,719.18.
