Tokyo: Stocks open 0.30% lower on stronger yen

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened 0.30 per cent lower on a stronger yen on Friday, following a weak session on Wall Street.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange slipped 59.61 points to 19,800.20 at the start, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares opened down 0.34 per cent, or 5.39 points, at 1,594.99.
