Tokyo: Stocks open down 0.31 per cent

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened 0.31 per cent lower Tuesday, tracking falls on European bourses amid concerns over the outcome of high-stakes debt talks between Greece and its eurozone partners in Brussels.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange slipped 55.07 points to 17,949.70 at the start.
