Tokyo: Stocks open higher on weaker yen

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Tuesday as exporters rose, with the yen turning down against the US dollar.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rebounded 0.91 per cent, or 172.93 points, to 19,158.52 in the first few minutes of trading while the Topix index of all first-section issues was up 0.87 per cent, or 13.27 points, at 1,537.66.
