Tokyo: Stocks open lower

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower Friday after US and European shares tumbled amid unease over hawkish commentary from central banks.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 fell 0.99 per cent, or 201.17 points, to 20,019.13 in early trade while the Topix index of all first-section issues was down 0.82 per cent, or 13.38 points, at 1,610.69.
