Tokyo: Stocks open lower on Wednesday

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Wednesday, falling from a one-month high as energy shares edged down.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index fell 1.02 per cent, or 174.03 points, to 16,850.73 in the first few minutes of trading while the broader Topix index of all first-section issues was down 1.04 per cent, or 14.16 points, at 1,342.19.
