Tokyo: Stocks open lower on Wednesday

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Wednesday as the yen remained firm with investors cautious ahead of major events including the British general election.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index fell 0.10 per cent, or 20.64 points, to 19,959.26 in the first few minute of trade while the Topix index of all first-section issues was down 0.16 per cent, or 2.53 points, at 1,593.91.
