Tokyo: Stocks rally at open ahead of Fed decision

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks rallied at the open on Wednesday, rebounding after three straight sessions of losses as dealers awaited the outcome of a US Federal Reserve meeting later in the day.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 0.87 per cent, or 143.02 points, to open at 16,526.06, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares climbed 0.73 per cent, or 9.59 points, to 1,316.53.
