Tokyo: Stocks start the day lower

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened 0.70 per cent lower on Wednesday following a negative lead on Wall Street as trading remained tepid on worries about China's economy.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 128.08 points, to 18,106.66, in the first minutes of trade.
