Tokyo: Stocks up on weak yen, rallies on Wall Street

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher Monday, taking a strong lead from US markets on better-than-expected pay roll figures, while a weak yen boosted exporters.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.60 per cent, or 119.69 points, to 20,048.78 in early trading, while the Topix index of all first-section issues was up 0.56 per cent, or 8.96 points, at 1,616.02.
