Crowdo helps M'sian firm to record equity crowdfunding in region
Singapore
HOMEGROWN crowdfunding platform Crowdo has helped Malaysian company The Parenthood raise some RM2.63 million (S$908,000) in equity crowdfunding - more than double the parenting concept store's RM1.05 million target - in what is believed to be the largest such deal in South-east Asia.
This comes after Crowdo got a provisional Capital Market Services (CMS) licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in April, making it the first in the region to attain multi-jurisdiction licensing for debt and equity crowdfunding in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
