Data centre firm Park Place Technologies buys Singapore-based Axentel Technologies
SINGAPORE-based IT lifecycle solutions provider Axentel Technologies has been acquired by Ohio-headquartered Park Place Technologies - a provider of data centre hardware maintenance.
Park Place on Tuesday announced that it has taken over Axentel's operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the Philippines, with an agreement signed to complete the acquisition of Axentel's Thailand outfit in the second quarter this year.
This latest deal marks Park Place's seventh acquisition over the past 18 months in a bid to grow the company, and will allow the group to "significantly enhance its ability to service customers throughout South-east Asia", the company said.
The group also acquired another Singapore-based global IT service provider, Performance Data in July last year, and established its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore in November 2016.
Said Park Place Technologies' president and chief operating officer, Chris Adams: "We are incredibly excited to join forces with Axentel Technologies to support our global customers with multi-platform, multi-generation network, server and storage equipment."
