Globetronics Q3 profit up at RM18m, revenue higher at RM265m

HAVING turned in a performance of "clockwork precision" for the third quarter to end September, semiconductor manufacturer Globetronics Technology has indicated it expects a ramp-up in its sensor business particularly wearable and proximity sensors.
The Penang-based company turned in a profit of nearly RM18 million (S$7 million), compared to RM15.2 million in 3Q13 and RM49 million for the cumulative nine months, compared to RM39.5 million for the previous corresponding period. Revenue for the third quarter was also 9 per cent better at RM265 million.
