WITH the dust settling on the Singapore telecommunication sector's general spectrum auction earlier this month, the general market consensus is that the new kid on the block, Australian TPG Telecom, got a very favourable deal in terms of spectrum pricing.
IMDA (Info-communications Media Development Authority of Singapore) had a total of 235 MHz of spectrum for auction. Out of this, the regulator reserved a 60 MHz (megahertz) band for the fourth telco, which saw a separate auction late last year.
