Hewlett-Packard agrees to buy Wi-Fi gear maker Aruba for US$2.7b

Hewlett-Packard and Aruba combined may have about 20 per cent of the enterprise wireless market, according to analysts.

HEWLETT-PACKARD Co has agreed to acquire Aruba Networks, a maker of wireless network infrastructure used by hotels, universities and shopping malls, for US$2.7 billion in cash to bolster its networking business.

Aruba investors will get US$24.67 a share, the companies said
