Payroll company ADP offers execs big data for big decisions

TWO days before the jobs report is released every month, one New Jersey payroll company provides a snapshot of private-sector employment that economists and investors lean on for insight into the labour market in the US.
Automatic Data Processing, known by its abbreviation ADP, crunches the numbers on more than 400,000 private companies to generate its monthly jobs report. As the largest payroll processor in the country, ADP's vast trove of data on US companies and their employees is second only to that of the federal government.
