SoftBank's Son taps former Google exec as successor

MASAYOSHI Son, chairman and chief executive officer of SoftBank Corp, has named the company's vice-chairman his heir apparent, announcing that the former Google executive will assume the post of representative director and president in June.
Nikesh Arora, 47, who joined the holding company in autumn last year after serving as chief business officer at Google Inc, will become SoftBank's representative director and president on June 19, Mr Son said during a press conference Monday.
