[SINGAPORE] The Airbus Group will continue to grow in Asia, as it seeks to sell more aircraft to regional carriers as well as expand its footprint in the high-growth market.

"We no longer see Asia (just) as a place to sell our products but also as a place for talent, suppliers, for partnership," Tom Enders, chief executive of the Airbus Group, told BT in an interview at the Singapore Airshow yesterday.

Mr Enders said that the group would continue to channel investments towards the region, which could include more industrial and engineering activities. It already has a final assembly line for the Airbus A320 in Tianjin, China, as well as an engineering centre in Bangalore.
