Cat B premium falls below Cat A
[SINGAPORE] COE premiums dipped unexpectedly yesterday on a combination of loan restrictions and the holiday season, according to some distributors.
In the first bidding exercise of December, the cost of a Category A certificate of entitlement (for cars below 1,600cc) slipped $1,831 to $73,160. This means the small car premium is higher than the big car premium because Cat B (for cars above 1,600cc) is now at $73,010 after shedding $6,290.
Cat E (the open category which currently tracks Cat B) fell $6,099 to $76,901.
