No plan to extend progressive wage model beyond three sectors

THE Progressive Wage Model (PWM), which is backed by law and dictates a minimum wage, will be confined to the cleaning, security and landscaping sectors, the government said yesterday.
Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Manpower Hawazi Daipi, speaking during the Committee of Supply debate on the Manpower ministry, said: "Beyond cleaning, security and landscaping, there's no plan to legislate the PWM in other sectors.
